Favourite Face Masks | Skincare

Throughout 2017, I decided it was time for me to really start to look after my skin. I don’t have the worst skin in the world, but I am prone to redness and breakouts, and I really wanted to tackle that. I have always used, cleansers, spot creams and moisturisers, but one thing that I never really used was face masks. This was because I never really knew what they did, and what ones would work for my skin. I also didn’t think that I’d have the time to use them. But after having multiple breakouts, and lots of redness, particularly on my nose, chin and cheeks, and dry skin, I decided to give a couple a try. I tried out sheet masks, cream masks and clay masks, to see what worked best for me.

Sand & Sky Brilliant Skin™ Purifying Pink Clay Mask

I first received a sample of this in my Birchbox, and after trying it then, I had to get the full size pot. This is honestly the best face mask I have ever used, and it only takes 10 minutes to do! Its made my skin much clearer and glowing since I’ve used it. The clay feels a bit weird on your skin and first, as it makes it tingle a little whilst it dries, but the sensation goes after a couple of minutes. It’s a little pricey, but definitely worth it, especially if you suffer with enlarged pores and blackheads.

Garnier Moisture Bomb Chamomile Hydrating Face Sheet Mask

This is a great mask to use if you suffer with dry skin. It is extremely moisturising, so much so that I didn’t even feel the need to put moisturiser on after using it! The only bad thing about it is that it feels REALLY cold when you put it on your face and it tingles slightly, but you get over it in a couple of minutes. It is so easy to apply, and doesn’t slip off of your face, plus it smells great. And it’s only £1.99 from Superdrug! You can’t go wrong at that price!

Dirty Works Sheet Mask

I really love Dirty Works products, I use quite a lot of them, including the exfoliators and moisturisers, so I thought I’d give their sheet masks a go. It is a moisturising mask, so works amazingly when I have dry skin. It is so easy to put on, and stays on your face, unlike some other brands which can slide off. Its also filled with Collagen which helps to boost hydration and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I highly recommend.

I also first got one of these in my Birchbox. I absolutely love this product, it makes your skin feel amazing and so fresh. It can look a bit scary at first as its black which isn’t the typical colour of a face mask, but that is the charcoal in it which targets toxins and draws out impurities. I feel like it has removed all my blackheads and 100% makes my spots reduce in colour and slowly gets rid of them completely. I would definitely recommend this one.

I only use a face mask once a week, maybe more if I have a breakout or my skin starts to feel a bit dry. I definitely recommend the ones above, but I recommend looking into what ones will work best for your skin, because everyones skin is different.
