Cleaning your makeup brushes is honestly the worlds most tedious job! So why not have something to make it a lot quicker and also a lot more entertaining? The StylPro Makeup Brush Cleaner cleans and dries makeup brushes in a matter of SECONDS! I heard about it after seeing a Facebook video about it, and instantly wanted one! It is advised that you wash your makeup brushes every week if you use them daily, which takes up so much time, so this is a very helpful tool.
The only down side to it, is that it is slightly pricey! I got mine when it was discounted in Boots, however it is currently selling at £39.99, but you can get it cheaper on places such as Amazon. It comes with the StylPro device, attachment spindle, plastic cleaning bowl with silicone seal and splash guard, 8 flexible silicone collars that are different sizes to suit all brushes, a collar stand, sachets of the cleanser and an instruction booklet. You can also purchase bottles of the actual cleanser to go with it. However, I have found it does also work with other brush cleaners (not as well, but it still works if you are looking to save some money).
The idea of it is that you can wash and dry all of your brushes in one go in a matter of minutes. You fill the bowl up to half way with a mixture of the cleanser and water, then put your brush into on of the silicon holders and attach it to the device. You then turn the device on which spins the brush and separates the bristles. Then dip in and out of the solution until the brush is clean. Then move the device out of the solution, but still in the bowl, and spin to dry. The brush should be ready to use straight away!
The tool feels a bit like holding an electric toothbrush. I find that it does clean smaller brushes, such as eye makeup brushes much easier than larger, denser brushes. However, it has cleaned and dried all my brushes perfectly. Some just take a bit more perseverance than others. But it is definitely a much quicker way than how I used to clean them! It was also created by Inventor Tom Pellereau (you may remember him as the winner of series 7 of The Apprentice UK).
Overall, I think it is a must have for your makeup collection. Not only is it much quicker, but its also much more hygienic, as the more you clean, the less bacteria you are putting on your skin. Definitely worth the price tag!
