Hellooooo, I’ve just returned from my short trip to the big apple 🍎 I had the best time, but absolutely shattered now, so thought I’d put together this short blog post before I get down to writing one about the trip!
Bare in mind that it was absolutely freeeeeezing the whole time we were there, so most of these outfits had about three layers of clothes underneath them and a big hat, scarf, gloves (two pairs) and a thick coat to keep me warm!
I say day one, but this is technically our second day. The first day I was wearing a tracksuit as we were travelling for the majority of it, so didn’t exactly look the most presentable!
On this day we packed a lot in! We started off the day jumping on the downtown bus and heading off to the Freedom Tower, 9/11 memorial and museum, and then walked down to the ferry to go across to the Statue of Liberty 🗽
The sun may be shining and the sky is definitely blue, but it was also -2 and windy!
The second day involved a lot more exploring (and a bit of shopping). We visited Brooklyn Bridge, before visiting SoHo, Chinatown and Greenwich Village!
Not as sunny today, but trust me, still very cold and windy!
We also took a nighttime bus tour on this day! See photos at the end to see how I dressed for that! ❄️
On this day we took the uptown bus to see some sights we hadn’t seen yet. This was more of a church and museum route, so we saw the Museum of Modern Art and the iconic Met! We also took a tuk-tuk round Central Park which was really fun!
The sun came back out for us today! ☀️
How I ‘actually’ spent the majority of the trip dressed…
